“FRANCISCO MANTECÓN”
ADVERTISING POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION

Bodegas Terras Gauda S.A., by a unanimous decision of the Board of Directors, has decided to set up an annual international advertising poster design competition, to be known as the "Francisco Mantecón" Awards, in honour of the artist who was the exclusive designer of our corporate image, a friend, an efficient collaborator and partner since the very beginnings of the winery. The winning design will be used as the cornerstone for the company's advertising image during the following year.

CONDITIONS ENTRY

PARTICIPANTS: Any physical or legal persons may participate with no limitations other than those stipulated by the relevant legislation.

WORKS:

• Original works, which must not have been published previously, are to be presented in a standard format. Any painting technique, photography, PC-readable computer graphics or any other technique that can be used for printing on paper may be used.
• No participant may submit more than two works.
• Participants are free to choose the topics of their works, although it preferably should reflect corporate aspects of the organising firm, basically revolving around their Terras Gauda and Abadía de San Campio wines. Creativity in this sense and the use of the company logo will be received favourably receivedo.

PRESENTATION: Works are to be submitted together with a sealed entry envelope containing their author's or authors' details (photocopy of identity card or fiscal ID, address and telephone number), as well as a covering letter fully accepting the rules of the competition.

DEADLINE: Any works delivered after 15 September 2002 will not be taken into consideration.

VENUE: Works should be sent to Bodegas Terras Gauda S.A., Estrada Tui-A Guarda, Km 46, O Rosal, 36760 Pontevedra.

CONDITIONS:Prize-winning works and the associated rights will become the property of Bodegas Terras Gauda, S.A. Posters may include discrete references to the authors of the works in question, preferably in the margins.

JURY: The jury will be composed of persons of recognised prestige, representing the organisers and other cultural fields. Each year the jury will be appointed by the Board of Directors of Bodegas Terras Gauda, S.A. Winners of each edition of the competition will be invited to be members of the jury the following year. The jury's decision is final. The jury will also resolve any questions that should arise for which no provision is made in these rules.

The Jury for this first edition of the Awards will be composed of:

• Mr. Enrique Costas
  Managing Director, Bodegas Terras Gauda, S. A.

PRIZES: One first prize and two runners-up prizes will be awarded, with a prize of SIX THOUSAND EUROS (€6,000) for the winning poster and ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EUROS (€1,500) for each of the runners-up.
The jury may decide not to leave vacant the award any of the prizes, in which case the corresponding prize money will be donated to an organisation felt to be deserving by the jury because of its social and cultural work in Galicia.

AWARD OF PRIZES: The jury's decision will be made public at a ceremony to be held by 31 December 2002, on a date and at a venue to be announced in due course.
