For the fourth year running, the journalist Fernando Ónega was the master of ceremonies for an event that commemorates the late Galiacian artist. He stressed the high level of the competition this year, with the presence of Óscar Mariné on the jury. Mariné was not present at the event since he is currently working in London on a new corporate image for the architect Norman Foster.

Runner-up 4th Edition of the Francisco Mantecón International Advertising Poster Design CompetitionO deseñador catalán Jordi Martín Figuerola reciviu onte o primeiro premio do IV Concurso Francisco Mantecón, que cada ano convoca Bodegas TERRAS GAUDA, dotado con 6.000 euros.

Following what is now a tradition, the journalist Fernando Ónega was the spokesman for the ceremony. But before he did the honours he was the protagonist of the anecdote of the event, where he made a sarcastic coment about Spanish current affairs related to the context of the prize. «I′ve been sent here on a mission by the prime minister,» he said.«Should we finally make the O Rosal region a nation or not? Since rather than wine culture we now talk about wine civilisation, the PM wants TERRAS GAUDA to take part in his dialogue between civilisations». Alter this brief digression he went on the praise the competition and the Chairman of the winery, José María Fonseca, who was present, accompanied by Pilar Barreiro, the widow of Francisco Mantecón.
